You Gave John a Heavenly Day!

Your generosity brought hope to John and dozens of Ugandan street boys through meals, clothing, and the Gospel.

You are a hero to John.

It started, the day our Ugandan team met John. He was standing by a trash pile.

Seeing us, he quickly started begging us for food and money.

A sixteen-year-old Ugandan street boy, John lives his days with a dirty face, no shoes, torn and soiled clothing, and little hope.

Most every day he goes to sleep hungry. He ended up on the streets two years ago when his parents no longer wanted him.

Many boys like John, as young as ten years old, end up on the streets. If you saw them,

living rejected and unloved, your eyes would fill with tears, and your heart would hurt.

But your willingness to help John and his friends changed his life. Because of your willing

hearts to help reach them, they became “our mission possible.” The harsh life in many Ugandan cities and towns imprisons these runaway street boys!

Today, you became their hero.

Your love and care from over 3000 miles away changed their lives! Because of you, John and

hundreds more hungry and poor not only heard the Good News, they experienced it!

You did what Jesus told us to do! The power of your generous gifts made a lasting impact on this community.

Like you, we are convinced that Jesus has a better plan for John and his buddies than

sleeping in hidden storm drains, surviving on garbage, and hiding from the police.

When John and hundreds of his fellow street boys heard about Jesus, He changed their hearts. Because of you, they felt and actually saw the love of God. God’s compassion became real because you made this their special day!

The warm meal, used clothes and even a cold shower reminded them that someone must still care; and that someone was you. Who could ever forget watching John and sixty more boys sitting on the cold ground, waiting to hear the Good News of Jesus?

At one point, John and all his friends got silent. Why? Because they wanted to hear the

message you sent to them.

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!

At that appointed moment, a miracle took place in John’s heart. Jesus Christ became his best friend. He took away John’s shame and fear and gave him lasting hope for tomorrow.

HE DID IT FOR JOHN AND ALL HIS STREET BUDDIES!

The price of John’s salvation was paid, but this mission to John and his friends became

possible only through your love and generosity.

This is a day John and all his friends will never forget.

You are changing one town, one city, one street boy at a time.

With God, together we have made a difference in Uganda.
